About NFTs
Traded assets can be fungible and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Unlike Bitcoin (a fungible token) each NFT is unique and irreplaceable.
Because NFTs are verifiable on the blockchain, their provenance and ownership data can be traced from the original creator all the way through to successive owners. This means digital information can be verified without third-party verification. NFTs can thus serve as a digital passport.
NFTs can represent a wide range of things, including digital art, tangible goods, virtual land, virtual objects, sports cards, tickets, clothing, and much more.
